Say goodbye to the VCR.

In Britain, the nation's largest consumer electronics chain has stopped selling VCRs completely -- and police say that home burglars don't even bother to take them. [Reuters]

The VCR was the most successful consumer electronics item ever after television and radio. It's had a great 30-year run, but that's about over now thanks to the DVD player. Get ready to plant it next to the eight-track.
